As Chief Technology Officer, Scott is responsible for the overall technology vision for Hortonworks and oversees the company’s Engineering, Product Management and Support organizations. Scott has spent his entire career in the data industry, most recently as president of Teradata Labs where he provided visionary direction for research, development and sales support activities related to Teradata integrated data warehousing, big data analytics, and associated solutions. He also drove the investments and acquisitions in Teradata’s technology related to the solutions from Teradata Labs. Scott holds a BSEE from Drexel University.
Sanjay is founder and chief architect at Hortonworks, and
an Apache Hadoop committer and member of the Apache Hadoop PMC.
Prior to co-founding Hortonworks, Sanjay was the chief architect of core-Hadoop at Yahoo and part of the team that created Hadoop. In Hadoop he has contributed to several areas including HDFS, MapReduce schedulers, Yarn's design, high availability, compatibility, etc.
He has also held senior engineering positions at Sun Microsystems and INRIA, where he developed software for distributed systems and grid/utility computing infrastructures.
Sanjay has a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo in Canada.

Manuel Corniel is currently the Global Strategic Business Leader, IBM Analytics and is passionate about delivering true value and ROI to clients on both on-premise and cloud data warehouse investments. Prior to this, Manuel had worldwide responsibility for IBM’s hybrid data warehouse and big data appliance business.
Manuel has taken on multiple leadership roles with IBM since the acquisition of Informix, including OEM Channel Sales (2003-2004) and WW DB2 Sales (2005-2006). In 2007, Manuel was promoted to WW Informix Sales Leader and in 2010 he took over as WW Sales Leader for Inforsphere Warehouse. He then played a pivotal role for IBM’s Vivisomo acquisition as the BUE in 2012. Prior to his current position, he successfully managed the Industrial Sector business. Among other advanced certifications and coursework, he has a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems from Pace University and Masters in International Business from the University of Miami.
Yiqun Hu is the Director, Head Data and AI for SP Group, where he is responsible for leading the data and AI section on the development of machine learning capabilities for energy and utility applications. Previously, he helped several organizations build data-driven products such as image recognition systems and recommendation engines. Yiqun is the author of 30+ scientific publications in the computer vision and machine learning area, with over 1,600 citations. He holds a Ph.D. on AI from Nanyang Technological University on 2008.
Alan is a founder of Hortonworks and an original member of the engineering team that took Pig from a Yahoo! Labs research project to a successful Apache open source project. Alan is PMC member on Apache Hive, Pig, and many other Apache projects. As part of the Apache Incubator PMC he has mentored many new Apache communities. Alan has a BS in Mathematics from Oregon State University and a MA in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. He is also the author of Programming Pig, a book from O’Reilly Press. Robert Hryniewicz has over 10 years working on various projects related to Artificial Intelligence, Enterprise Software, IoT, Robotics, Blockchain and more. Currently, he’s a Data Scientist and Evangelist at Hortonworks. Previously, Robert was a CTO at a Singularity Labs startup, Sr. Architect at Cisco, NASA et al. Andrew Psaltis is deeply entrenched in streaming and IoT systems and obsessed with delivering insight at the speed of thought. Santhosh B Gowda is an Engineering Manager QE at Hortonworks. He takse care of the scale, resiliency and performance aspects for Hortonworks products (i.e. HDP, HDF and Dataplane). He has more than 13 years of IT experience and has focused on Hadoop for the last 2 years. He holds an M.S Software Systems degree from BITS, Pilani.
Andy LoPresto is a Sr. Member of Technical Staff at Hortonworks working on the Hortonworks DataFlow team. In this role he serves as both a Committer and Project Management Committee Member for Apache NiFi, an open source, robust, secure data routing and delivery system. Andy focuses on security concerns within NiFi including identity management, TLS negotiation, data protection, access control, encryption and hashing. Andy is also involved with the sub-project, Apache MiNiFi, which drives edge data collection, including secure command and control and immediate data provenance and governance. He has presented about NiFi at DataWorks Summits in Singapore, Tokyo, Melbourne, Berlin, Sydney, and San Jose, FOSDEM '17 in Brussels, and the OpenIoT Summit 2017.
Srikanth Venkat is currently responsible for Security & Governance portfolio of products at Hortonworks which include Apache Knox, Apache Ranger, Apache Atlas, Platform wide security and Hortonworks DataPlane Service. Prior to Hortonworks, Srikanth has held multiple roles in areas of cloud services, marketplaces, security, and business applications. His experience includes leadership across Product Management, Strategy and Operations, and Technical Architecture with broad experience in startups to global organizations including Telefonica, Salesforce.com, Cisco-Webex, Proofpoint, Dataguise, Trilogy Software, and Hewlett-Packard. Srikanth holds a PhD in Engineering with a focus on Artificial Intelligence from University of Pittsburgh, and an MBA in General Management from Indiana University and a Masters in Global Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management. Srikanth is a Data Sciences & Machine Learning hobbyist and enjoys tinkering with Big Data technologies.
Dr. Aswami Ariffin (Dr.AA) is a digital forensics scientist with vast experience in big data, security assurance, threat intelligence, incident response and digital forensics investigation with various law enforcement agencies and provided expert testimonies in court.
Due to his immense contribution in cybersecurity, Dr.AA was awarded ISLA - Information Security Leadership Award in 2009 by (ISC)2 USA including commendation letter from the Attorney General's Chambers Malaysia and a certificate of appreciation from the Royal Malaysia Police in 2010. He had also been appointed as an expert referral by the New South Wales Police, Australia and now a member of Interpol Digital Forensics Expert Group.
Dr.AA is active in research and one of his papers was accepted for publication in the Advances in Digital Forensics IX. He has secured several large research and development funds from the government to develop digital forensics and cybersecurity capabilities in Malaysia. Dr.AA is highly experienced in software engineering and he is in the midst of developing big data threat intelligence analytics dashboard named “CyberI3”.
Currently, Dr.AA is Senior Vice President of Cyber Security Responsive Services at CyberSecurity Malaysia. He provides input on strategic direction, technical leadership, and marketing strategy for Malaysia Computer Emergency Response Team (MyCERT), Digital Forensics Department and Secure Technology Services.
Dr.AA is regularly consulted by the government, industries, universities, communities, and media on cybersecurity issues, strategies, and operation including invitation as keynote speaker in conferences.

She has worked as Digital marketing and Analytics VP and later on Co-CEO for a Digital Gaming Startup. And she has founded two businesses ( An educational toys ecommerce business based on the theory of multiple intelligences with significant focus on smart toys for girls, and a data science consulting business with focus on leveraging social media data to inform business strategy). She is a lifelong learner, avid reader, and an entrepreneur at heart, holds a Computer Engineering degree, an MBA, and a Master of Science in Analytics, and she is currently pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Management at Harvard Online School.
Kitman Cheung is the Analytics CTO for IBM Asia Pacific. Throughout his 17 year career with IBM, Kitman has focused his attention on analytics related technologies, and has served in many technical roles within development, product management, partner ecosystem and technical pre-sales organizations.

Ayesha Zaka is the Worldwide Technical Sales Leader for the Big Data Ecosystem. Her area of focus is Hadoop and Spark; on cloud and on-premise. As the Big Data CoE leader, her primary role is to ensure that our customers have the right technical assistance in solving their enterprise challenges and the guidance in adopting the right hybrid cloud strategies for their needs. Mr. Inoue has envisioned to evangelize customer’s beliefs and apprehensions about big data journey and help them in meticulous setup of a Modern Data Platform that will parallel drive NEC's big data business globally. Holding MBA from Kenichi Ohmae Graduate School of business, Japan, he has a unique 31 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, IT service planning, strategic planning for global SI services, before he moved to leadership role in Cloud and Big Data Platform business. In his current role, he heads NEC's Big Data Platform business globally and manages entire business planning, product development, delivery, and support. He launched and currently heading "Center of Excellence for Analytics Platform & Solution" in India which helps NEC and its customer to accelerate Digital Transformation Journey.

He had been staying in Singapore and taking responsibility of ITNW biz as head in APAC region since 2011, and his new assignment was head of G2M to develop and build up new business globally “Bigdata ” biz from July , 2015 after return to Japan HQ.
Besides, new role was assigned as head from April, 2018 to take care of Globally Business development mission for new solutions such as physical security as well as Bigdata.
