Arika Payne
Director of IT
Arika B. Payne, an IT Director for FedEx Services, is responsible for setting the technology direction of the FedEx analytics infrastructure. She manages and maintains the current data warehouse environment, the big data environment and supports critical product and marketing data stores. In collaboration with business, IT and industry partners, she works to establish a future-state vision for the seamless analysis of multiple data types for the enterprise. Arika received her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 1996, as well as her Master of Science in Statistics in 1998. When Arika joined FedEx in 1998, she forecasted call volume in Express Customer Service Strategic Planning. From there, she moved into project management for FedEx Express and then FedEx Services. Her management career has included leadership of Data Architecture and Infrastructure Capacity Planning areas. Arika has more than 19 years of experience at the enterprise level with a focus on strategic initiatives. FedEx presented Arika with its most prestigious honor, the FedEx Five Star Award in 2003, 2006 and 2016. She is also the recipient of five IT Hall of Fame awards (2005, 2014, 2016 and 2017).
